Membrane block filters
Introduction
Membrane block filter is a kind of modular design of filtration equipment, the core element is a microporous filter membrane (including organic membrane or inorganic membrane), using the sieving effect to achieve high-precision filtration. It is compact and often made of stainless steel (e.g. SS304/316L) with a mirror-polished or electropolished surface, making it suitable for scenes with high hygiene requirements. Compared to depth filters, block filters have a uniform pore size and can reliably retain particles larger than the pore size, but need to be combined with a pre-filter to reduce the risk of clogging.
Technical characteristics:
Design pressure:1.0Mpa
Operating temperature:0-110℃
Material: Stainless steel SS304 or SS316L
Finish: mirror polilshing or electrolytic polishing
how to use

1. Preparation and installation

Select a membrane that matches the pore size (e.g., 0.45 μm or 0.22 μm for pharmaceuticals) and check the integrity, and install the filter with the smooth side (front) facing up to avoid reverse clogging.

Ensure the tightness of the equipment and avoid the deformation of the filter membrane during sterilization (can be assembled after separate sterilization).

2. Filtration operation

Control the flow rate and pressure to avoid excessive pressure damage to the filter membrane; After injecting, the liquid is filtered by a negative pressure (e.g. a vacuum pump) or a positive pressure drive.

Observe the clarity of the filtrate, and stop the filter to replace the membrane if the flow rate drops sharply or leaks.

3. Cleaning and maintenance

Regularly reverse flush the membrane with mild detergent or pure water; If the oil contains the soil, it needs to be chemically cleaned (e.g. enzymatic hydrolyzed).

Check the blowdown valve to prevent the component from malfunctioning due to low temperature oil sticking.

Typical Application

1. Pharmaceutical industry: microbial limit inspection and sterile filtration of water for injection and liquid medicine.

2. Food and beverage: sterilization and impurity interception of mineral water and beer to ensure taste and safety.

3. Environmental testing: the total number of bacteria in water quality is detected (such as the monitoring of drinking water by the CDC).

4. Chemical industry: preparation of high-purity reagents and precision filtration of particle-containing solutions.

5. Electronics industry: terminal filtration of high-purity solutions for semiconductor production
